Base One LLC is a software company. We design, build and run digital products in two sectors where reliability is the point: consumer technology and healthcare.

Who we are

Base One is a small software company. We are the people who design your product, the people who write it, and the people who answer the phone when it misbehaves on a Sunday.

We cover the whole life of a product: scoping and design, the app itself, the services behind it, the store submission, and then the unglamorous part — monitoring, updates, support tickets and the cloud bill.

We work in two sectors on purpose. Consumer apps demand speed, polish and respect for people's attention. Healthcare demands caution, evidence and care with people's data. Holding every project to both is what makes the work good.

Six things that are true about this company, and the registered details behind them.

    Where the name comes from

    Base one is tally marks: one stroke for one thing, nothing encoded and nothing to decode. We took it as a reminder that a number in a status report should mean exactly what it appears to mean.

    One entity, one team

    Base One LLC is a limited liability company. The design and engineering we are hired for is done in-house. We do not pass the work to a subcontractor and manage the invoice.

    The same name in three places

    The name on this website, the seller name on our App Store and Google Play listings, and the name on the company's registration are all Base One LLC. If you ever find them disagreeing, trust the registration and tell us.

    We publish our own software

    Mintproof, a card scanner and price tracker for iOS and Android, is published by this company. We go through the same review queues, billing systems and store policy changes as anyone we build for.

    We are not a healthcare provider

    We build software for healthcare and wellness organizations. We do not practise medicine, hold a patient relationship or sell a medical device, and nothing we publish is medical advice.

    Every address here reaches a person

    hello@, support@, legal@, privacy@ and security@ all land in a monitored inbox on baseonesoftware.com. We reply from that same domain, and we never ask for a password, a card number or a one-time code by email.

What working with us is like.

The terms we offer everyone, written down before anyone signs anything.

    A written scope before anything starts

    We write down what we are building, what it costs and when it lands, and you approve it before work begins. When the scope changes we re-price it in writing rather than absorbing it quietly and running late.

    You own all of it

    Code, designs, cloud projects and store listings are yours from the first commit. At the end of an engagement we hand over the repositories and the accounts, with the documentation needed to run them without us.

    Published under your name or ours

    Apps can ship from your Apple and Google developer accounts, or from Base One LLC while yours are being set up. Either way you get the listing, the privacy policy and a support address that reaches a person.

    We are still here after launch

    Launch is the midpoint. Monitoring, updates, dependency patches, store policy changes and user support run on a monthly agreement, so you are not left holding a codebase nobody knows.

03 Publishing

The name on the store listing.

Apps from Base One are published under the company's legal name, Base One LLC, on the Apple App Store and Google Play. If a listing names Base One LLC as the developer or seller, this is the company behind it.

Every product we publish has its own privacy policy and terms, a working support address, and a named company that answers for it. Those are listed on the products and support pages.

Verifying a message from us

Email from Base One comes from an address ending in @baseonesoftware.com. We never ask for passwords, payment card numbers or one-time codes by email. If something looks wrong, forward it to security@baseonesoftware.com.
